Sylvia was born and raised in the magic environment of the german alps, where an ever so well dressed pet rabbit set the course to her career. After graduating with a Masters Degree in Fashion and Fine Art in Germany, she was invited to work for German Vogue, which led her to New York and a future in the Fashion and Advertising world.
Since beginning her career as a fashion stylist and costume designer, Sylvia has quickly risen to prominence. Celebrities like Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Aaron Neville, Labelle and Audra McDonald often request her time. She has contributed to Magazines like Surface, GQ, Details, VOGUE PELLE, Viewpoint magazine and CLEAR Magazine to name a few. Due to her passionate approach, attention to detail and eye for style she has acquired several high profile advertising campaigns like Sharp, Toyota, Zenith, Dove, Marc Jacobs Kids, American Eagle as well as fashion shows for New York fashion week on Bryant Park. In addition she has designed costumes for several short and feature films as well as theatre plays. Among the photographers she has worked whith are Mark Abrahams, Kwaku Alston, Mary Allen Mark, Olaf Blecker, Achim Lippoth and many more.
To start with an idea, to go out and source eclectic and interesting bits and pieces, to be surprised and inspired along the way is her intention to every project. Whether she is styling for editorial, advertising, catalogue or film, she creates an image that is fresh and inventive.
